Dr. Scott W. Espe
Dr. Espe was born and raised in Minnesota and attended Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC (Class of 1982) before settling in this region to practice chiropractic. He quickly fell in love with the area and has proudly served the region out of his office, located in Mundy's Corner, for over 30 years. In addition to his vast experience, Dr. Espe has built a strong reputation based upon providing individualized, effective, hands on chiropractic care for each and every patient.
In addition to traditional and family chiropractic, Dr. Espe has added training and expertise in the field of sports chiropractic. His great deal of additional training, has earned him a certification in Chiropractic Sports Medicine, from the ICA Council on Fitness and Sport Health Science.
Outside of the office, Dr. Espe is very active in the local community. He has a long history of involvement in the local schools, especially concerning scholastic and youth athletics. Most recently, Dr. Espe continues to organize and oversee a summer exercise regimen for local high school and college athletes that is modeled after "Strongman" style training and competition. Dr. Espe remains a fitness enthusiast himself, as he enjoys weight training to keep himself healthy and fit. He also enjoys travelling, primarily to watch his sons play college football and his daughter play college softball.
Dr. Dana Miller
Dr. Miller was born in upstate New York and relocated to Johnstown at a young age. He is a graduate of Forest Hills High School, University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, and National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, IL. He has been in clinical practice since 1994 and has been a valued member of the ECHC team for five years.
He enjoys spending his free time keeping active with his wife and 8 year old son. He enjoys hiking, climbing, swimming, and is an avid gardener. Dr. Miller is also active in the church with regular preaching and teaching involvement as well as participation in several mission trips to the Bahamas and Haiti.
Dr. Miller's clinical approach to patient care focuses primarily on manual spinal adjusting. He also gives recommendations for overall better health through providing tips on eating, exercise, postural awareness and the importance of preventative chiropractic care. Dr. Miller wants patients to see him as more than just their chiropractor, but also a friend that is there as a good listener and that cares about all aspects of their lives.
Dr. Jon R. Skupaka
Dr. Skupaka was born and raised in nearby Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Northern Cambria High School, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC where he graduated with highest honors.
He was first introduced to chiropractic as a patient due to various sports injuries that he sustained over the years. Aside from treating his injuries, Dr. Skupaka found that chiropractic not only made him feel better, but it also helped him perform better at the gym and on the trail. Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Skupaka continues to keep himself busy by maintaining an active lifestyle. He enjoys weight training, running, playing sports, and of course spending time with family and friends.
In practice, Dr. Skupaka focuses on traditional hands-on chiropractic care for the spine and extremities. He primarily utilizes the Diversified technique along with Gonstead and Thompson techniques in his adjusting repertoire. He also advises patients when necessary on exercise, posture, ergonomics, and nutrition. He enjoys getting to know his patients and takes pride in helping them live better, fuller lives. He looks forward to serving the region and community for many years to come.
